CAYSO Registration
Registration for Fall 2023 is closing (Spring 2024 still open)!
CAYSO has 5 teams for fall. We still have room at the U09 level, but all other fall teams have closed registration. Please contact us for any inquiries.
To help encourage parent coaches, CAYSO coaches kids will play for free.
Players will be on our traveling MAYSA teams. MAYSA players travel throughout South Central Wisconsin playing games with neighboring communities. Trained coaches lead the teams through the season.
Every typical season has 8 games (4 home and 4 away) usually on Saturdays and Sundays. Practices are twice a week in the evenings Monday through Friday (schedules vary by team). Also depending on the team, practices will range in length from an hour to an hour and a half.
CAYSO is accepting registrations from 8 year-olds through 18 year-olds. The number of teams and age groupings of teams will be decided based on registration numbers.

Dear soccer fans —
One of the biggest limiting factors of Columbus Area Youth Soccer Organization (CAYSO) is having good quality coaches ready to help coach our teams. With more coaches, we can have more kids playing soccer. If you believe in our focus of “equal playing time regardless of skill or score” and want to help be able to shape the next generation of soccer players, then we encourage you to become a coach.
To help encourage parent coaches, CAYSO coaches kids will play for free.
CAYSO will help you with in-house training and tips. We also encourage you to sign up for a grassroots coaching course. Total cost is approximately $45 ($15 for Risk Management and $30 for the actual course) of which CAYSO will reimburse you.

Our In-House program for 4K through 2nd Grade is all about having fun with a soccer ball. Practices are about an hour long on Saturday mornings and goes four to five weeks.
4K/Kindergarten soccer is a high energy program where fun comes first. We work on the basic gross motor skills that are essential for success on the soccer field utilizing fun soccer type games. This is a one ball per kid program that builds every child’s confidence and fosters a love for the game. My goal is to send every player home smiling and sweaty by having them kicking the ball correctly 1000 times each practice. Parents please wear clothes and shoes that allow you to move because you will be utilized in most of the games we play.
1/2nd grade soccer is an in house program where we work on basic soccer skills and emphasize strong kicking and proper trapping technique. We focus on building every player’s strength and confidence through fun games and activities. We will also use 3 vs 3 small sided games to introduce strategies such as spreading the field, moving without the ball, and passing to space.
